Covid-19 Testing
We provide support with screening and testing of patients who are concerned about their COVID-19 Status.
We offer drive through COVID-19 testing, which is available to individuals and corporates by appointment only.
This is to avoid you wasting time, as well as coming into contact with other people unnecessarily. Once you have completed the necessary paperwork (+- 15 mins), the sample collection will take 5 minutes.
At our mobile site, you will find a professional nurse who will conduct the test for you in the comfort of your own car or at the drive through premises.
About COVID -19
What is COVID-19?
On 31 December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported a cluster of pneumonia cases in Wuhan City, China. ‘Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2’ (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed as the causative agent of what we now know as ‘Coronavirus Disease 2019’ (COVID-19). Since then, the virus has spread to more than 100 countries, including South Africa.
Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment.
How it Spreads
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth.
Know your status
To avoid spreading the disease, it is extremely important to know whether you have COVID-19. This is for your own safety and those whom you may come into contact with. You can do this by visiting our drive-through facility to get tested and receive your results within 48-72 hours.
Protect Yourself
In the interim, the following can provide protection against infection from COVID-19
Wash Your Hands
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
Avoid Eyes Nose & Mouth
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid the Sick
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay at Home if Sick
Stay at home when you are sick and try and keep a distance from others at home.
Cover your Cough
Cover your cough or sneeze with a flexed elbow or a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin.
Clean & Disinfect
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
